May 7, 2018- News came down this week that University District landmark The Blue Danube, 2439 N High St, is closing after 78 years on June 17. Crowds have been streaming in for one last visit.

May 20, 2018- We all love the Buckeyes. We all love the scarlet and gray. But what looks good on a uniform or a gameday ensemble is a lot less appealing when applied to an entire building. Many misguided University District property owners don't grasp this. This unfortunate paint job just appeared on the otherwise classy vintage 1910 King-Neil Building at King and Neil Aves. Shame.

May 25, 2018- Popular neighborhood hangout Cazuela's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, 2321 N High St, on a Friday night in late May, just around sunset.

Circular garage at rear of 159 E 12th Ave home. Like a railroad roundhouse, it allowed the car to be rotated so it could pull-in at night, then pull-out in the morning. Probably creation of Ohio State agriculture professor and inventor who lived there in the 1920s.

June 24, 2018- Purple coneflowers in this N. 4th St. front yard are blooming about a month early.

June 25, 2018- Purple LED party lights on the porch of a 12th Ave residence. Buckeyes of the 2010s are into lightscaping.

Some of the 50+ semi-trucks and multiple cranes involved in the set-up of popstar Taylor Swift's COLOSSAL show at Ohio Stadium July 7, 2018. Taylor Swift joins Pink Floyd, U2, and The Rolling Stones as one of a handful of acts to headline The Shoe.

July 9, 2018- Summery view down in Iuka Ravine. A little bit of nature in one of Ohio's most densely populated neighborhoods.
